Happy Valentine's Day, Wendi

This blog has gone dark for many months. I found myself being too critical of our president, and I just did not want to get stuck in that rut.

So, let's take a little turn. My wife, Wendi, and I went out for dinner on Abraham Lincoln's Birthday, and it also served as our Valentine's Day date. We went to The Mill Restaurant in Wooster, Ohio, and Wendi was pleasantly surprised when four men, decked out in white shirts, red vests and red bow ties, came to our table to serenade her.

The quartet, Cordially Yours out of Mansfield, Ohio, presented her with a rose, some chocolate Kisses and a card then sang two songs. The first was "Let Me Call You Sweetheart," and the second was "How Deep is the Ocean."

Wendi really appreciated the gift, and she said it made her feel special. Good. She is special to me. We shall be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary on March 4, 2010, and she means the world to me. God has really blessed me with a beautiful, incredible, creative and talented wife. I am not sure why He saw fit to bless me so much, but I am not complaining.
